So we finished the primary fermentation on our beer.

Before we brewed someone recommended that we put vodka in the airlock (hey it’s sterile right?) because the fermenting beer would add additional flavors and you get to do a tiny shot before the hard work of moving to secondary fermentation.

As someone who also enjoys a good neat vodka I couldn’t resist pairing with DFH’s blue hen.
Pretty interesting flavor- definitely mellowed the juniper flavor as well as kicking the abv up a notch- a mini shot was more than enough.
